Keychain/Password issue

Hello all

I have an interetsing problem where for SOME of my email accounts (2 pop, 1
hotmail) Entourage seems to have spontaneously forgtten the saved passwords
and refuses to save the re-entered passwords into the Keychain.

I've tried the following:
1) deleting the relevant Keychain entry
2) re-entering the password and selecting "save into Mac OS Keychain"
3) running Keychain First Aid
4) restarting

Note that one of my pop accounts runs perfectly throughout this whole
business, and has never lost nor asked me to re-enter the password. Other
apps are unaffected.

Any ideas?

i'm having the same problem, one of my users has a hotmail account and
every time i restart the computer she has to reenter her password at
entourage startup. i use two pop3 accounts on my side and have not had
any problems. the problem seems to be with hotmail.

In Accounts, did you select to save password for the Hotmail account?

Guys

Just FYI my problems seem to have been with the Keychain itself.

I first noticed this when Proteus refused to recall my MSN Messenger account
password.

Unfortunatley, Keychain First Aid was no help, as mentioned below.

I had to:
- create a new Keychain
- delete the old Keychain
- make the new Keychain the default, and bind it to my login
- re-enter all passwords for everything...

Now things are fine
