Kudos to Entourage

I have to give credit where it's due... The more I use this thing, the
better I like it. A week into it now, and we're starting to appreciate what
the Custom Views can do for us in terms of seeking out tech support calls on
customers, upgrades, all of it.

So is there a way, when the custom view list is displayed, to scroll or
cycle through all the hits to see what's in them without going back to the
list each time? Or to find text within those items?

Are you not using the Preview Pane?

Go to the custom view in your main window (or make a new "Browser window" if
you really prefer). In View menu, choose Preview Pane (--> On Right, or
Below List, as you prefer, in 2004; no choice in X) and you'll see the text
of messages in the preview pane. Assuming you're talking about Mail views,
you don't say. If it's an Address Book view, you can still see a preview
pane (of the summary) Below. If it's a Calendar, Tasks , Notes or Mixed View
- no preview pane, sorry. Please send a request via Help for preview pane
for Calendar Views, Tasks List and Notes List, and then we'd have it also
for Mixed Views.
