language settings

[Letchford Shed Construction]

I am trying to change the default language settings from English US to
English Australia for all documents. Word's 'Help' instructions have not
worked. Language setting on status bar remains at 'English US'. I am using
Windows XP/Microsoft Office XP.

Not sure what Word's Help suggested... but try Start - Settings - Control
Panel - Regional and Language Options.
