Microsoft Word + Laptop screens scramble

Hello, I have a Sony PCG-K215Z Laptop. That works fine with every program on
it except Microsoft word 2002 or Word 2003.The problem is after running Word
2003 and writing for 2 or 3 minutes the screen scrambles like blinds at the
top and bottom of the screen with a BIG black block in the centre obscuring
everthing on the screen. This happens randomly but very often making the use
of Office useless on my Laptop. I often have to switch the laptop off to
regain control.
Would dearly welcome any Suggestions on how to fix this problem! As I need
this set up for Work !
Thank you for reading !

Word is tough on graphics card drivers. You may want
to see if there's an updated driver available from the
PC makers website, or try turning down the graphics card
acceleration 2 clicks (right click desktop then Properties)
to see if that works if this article doesn't apply
