Large Database and slow response...

Would like some assistance if possible.

We are using Entourage 2004 (11.3.6-current updates installed) on Mac
OS 10.4.10 (current updates installed), using a Exchange 2003 server
(current updates installed).

My boss like to keep all his emails for reference reasons, so he has
close to 8 gb of email (yes, from the last 9 years). He is an
attorney and keeps everything.

But using a Macbook Pro, we have notices slow speeds when Entourage is
running. VERY SLOW....lol.

Would like some help in remedying this other then to archive his
email. He is one of those that uses spotlight like crazy.

I have worked on this issue for over a year. Any links or suggestions
are appreciated.

Moving his older mail to "Folders on My Computer" should give you a
noticeable speed up.One option would be to archive his email by date and
create Identities in Entourage for each year. It's easy to Switch Identities
to view old mail.

For Spotlight support, it would be best to keep all mail in one Identity.
