large size

i have one excel data sheet with few entries but the size of the
excel document is about 33MB (ususaly i think is about 200 Kb)
what may be the cause

corruption.

open the existing file click ctrl 'A' + ctrl 'A' copy to new work book.

paste as you wish

the size should be 3 mb.
