All was fine until I installed the latest critical
fix on Sunday. Then, all of a sudden my wife's
profile would not load. I tried to regenerate it
by all combinations of deleting, renaming files,
etc., all to no avail. I could not even create
a totally new, unrelated profile. My own two
profiles still worked fine.
Fortunately, I was able to roll back using system
restore and all seems okay. I am running XP with
all critical fixes up to the point where the problem
begain. Outlook version is 97, which is old but it
still works adequately enough for me.
Two things show up in the application event log:
Faulting application mapisp32.exe, version 5.0.1457.3,
faulting module kernel32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1106,
fault address 0x0001650d.
- and -
Faulting application outlook.exe, version 8.2.1.4106,
faulting module user32.dll, version 5.1.2600.1255, fault
address 0x0001d231.
Any comments or similar experiences?
