Launching any Office product launch the Installation Wizard 1st

Everytime I launch Outlook, Word, Excel, etc, the Installation launches like
it needs to be installed. If I cancel the Installation Dialog (takes
multiple times to cancel it) the application launches and runs fine.

It does this everytime on every app.

Any ideas?

If you put your installation CDs in and let it do its thing, what happens?

What version of Office are we talking about, anyway?

Echo,
Thanks for the reply...

I have Office XP Pro.

When I put in the CD it is asking for, it will not run. It is looking for a
different MSI file than what I have on my CD. Not sure why.

However.... I went to the MS Office Update last night and let it install a
few of the upgrades it suggested and now it working fine.

Not sure why or what it was not happy with but it looks like the problem is
corrected.

Thanks again.

The short story is, the MSI files are various installers, and sometimes they
get confused.

Glad to hear it's working now.
