LDAP and GAL with Entourage 2008

I just installed Office 2008. I get mail and calendar fine. I can't
seem to get LDAP working. I would like to find a tool to troubleshoot
what's going on. Is there some sort of console when the client does
an ldap lookup?

What's the best way to troubleshoot this?

Are you using the Kerberos feature of Entourage 2008 or the standard
authentication? If you're using Kerberos then try Standard. If that
works then your network may have a configuration problem.

Since Active Directory LDAP servers are also Global Catalog servers that
means they are Domain Controllers as well. Domain Controllers are DNS
servers. You can try putting the IP address of your LDAP server into
your DNS settings for your Mac and use that for DNS resolution as a
possible workaround.

Hope this helps!
