LDAP

My boss runs the latest Entourage on his Mac, and wants to access the
Exchange server. However he can't do what he wants and it might be becase
it can't access the Global Catalog.

The servers are behind a firewall, and the Exchange server is not a Global
Catalog server. The Entourage documentation says that he needs LDAP access
on port 389, but there is nothing on that port on the Exchange server.

Does anyone have this working, if so how?

I don;t have LDAP working (though I suspect for other reasons) but in
your case, it seems that you *should* be able to get it to work by
setting Entourage to use the proper port for your server (389 is the
default port, but many server use their own port). You might have to
provide the system with similar settings in the Active Directory
application.

The problem is that since I badly failed to get LDAP working myself, I
have no warranty this will work at all. Let us know if you finally
managed to get it to work.
