"leave copy of each message on server" not selectable

i just downloaded the office v.X trial and setup
entourage and have a question. i am using a POP email
account and everything works fine except one thing. the
messages are still on the server after fetching them.
the option is checked in the account options and it is
not selectable to uncheck it.

any ideas on why i cannot select this option to uncheck
it? the mac mail program has the option to delete from
server immediately as i do not need to keep them on my
POP mail provider's server.

This is a feature of the demo. In case you decide not to use Entourage in
the future, then your messages are still on the server.

Unfortunately, no..... U have to buy the full ver. to be able to change that
setting. I had the same issue. Your only option presently is to use webmail
for yr pop acct and delete emails after u download them. One u install the
full version it does keep all the emails u downloaded and any folder created
etc..

R u familier with virtual pc?? I need sum help with that.

It's there to protect you. If it weren't set to leave messages on the
server, and then you decided not to buy Office or Entourage, you'd lose all
the messages you'd received in Entourage, forever. This way you can set
messages _not_ to be left on the server in another mail client (e.g. Mail)
whenever you want - either now or later - and you'll have them there even
when you discontinue Entourage. Or if you do end up buying Entourage you can
change the setting then.
