leaving copy of messages on server

I have Cox webmail. When I download my mail with Outlook my messages are still on the Cox server. I want that not to continue. How can I make it so when Outlook gets it it comes off the provider's server?

Go to your Email account under Tools (what version of Outlook are you
running?) and go to the advanced tab and de-select "leave a copy on server".

And make sure you are having a POP3 account configured or at least a
pst-file as the default delivery location.
