Let me search for Word help NOT the Office suite

A

When i look for 'Help' i want to look only in the software i am using at the
moment. Searching the entire suite of softwares is useless. At least give me
the option to limit my search to Word (or Excel, or..).

You can do that - just open Word and hit the F1 key. That is Word's Help files.

Simple scenario: I open Word (2003) hit the F1 key, enter a search term
and hit the enter key. Result: error message!
"Query cannot be completed because you are offline." (I use a different
web browser as default, and the last time i opened MSIE I must have been
disconnected.)

OK! When I tell MSIE that the computer has a network connection, Office
does find help, and it is limited to what pertains to Word. The net
search with detour takes some time, though. Searching local files used
to be a lot quicker (and more useful, I might add).

Though not a downright lie, I find it slightly misleading to call this
search facility "Word's help files". (On second thought, it may be
misleading even to call it a facility, not being very "facile" by my
standards.)
