Letter to A4 printing

Hi,

My Windows XP is set to UK Region & Language but everytime I try and print,
for example in Word, my Printer automatically sets itself to US Letter
rather than to UK A4. I have to manually change this everytime so how I can
change it so A4 is the default setting?

Local printer or network? If latter - make sure document defaults are the same.

If it does the same in "notepad" - its a printer setting; if not - if may be Office.

So what printer is it?
