What is the real story behind Microsoft Office Student and Teacher
Edition? The Microsoft Website talks about the household having to have
a k-12 student that attends an "accredited" institution. Is it good
enough if there is a 9 y/o that attends 3rd grade in a US public
elementary school?

US public schools all count as "accredited" -- whether they deserve it or
not.

This is a user-to-user group, any Microsoft employee would be here on
their own. If you want OFFFICIAL, go to the source, call them on the
phone and ask.

Larry -

You **really** seemed concerned about this point. You have a 9 yr old child
in school - that's a qualifying point. Period.

The only "not positive" point to bear in mind is the the STE is not
upgradeable. This means when a new version of Office is released, you must
buy the full version instead of an upgrade. That's the price you pay for
saving money.
