Ligitimate downloadable Office 2007 Enterprise software??

ammoun

I am coming across several sites on the net that advertise the selling of
Microsoft Office 2007 Enterprise in a downloadable format (only) for $79 not
$899! Does anyone know if these are legal sites or is this a scam? Such a
site I found to "look" legitimate is (http://din.oem-popal.com).
I need guidance please, the savings are lucrative!!!

A deal like that sounds too good to be true, doesn't it.. ask yourself how
they can offer deals like that.. the very fact that you come here to ask
suggests doubt in your mind..

I know dear Mike, but where are the Microsoft people and the copy right
organizations from all this? I am wondering if anyone tried such sites or
knows of them? Maybe without the packaging, it is really only $79! I know
when I bought OEM operating systems (legitimate and original Win XP Pro) they
were at 1/3 the price of buying a MS package, and that was with the
supplier's costs and profits!!!!
So again, anyone knows more on this?

Have you seen the terms?
In particular...

2.3. You cannot register the software with the manufacturer and updates are
available not for all the products;

That sets alarm bells.

Beck, many thanks, I have not seen the terms and you are absolutly right. If
I cannot register the software then it is STOLEN!
Many thanks again.

$79 is way less than a third of $899.. of course it is pirated software..
rocket science is not required to work it out..

You may need to read the 'fine print' in order to determine how legitimate
the offer really is. Here's an excerpt of a similar email I received:

------------
OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) software is exactly the same as retail
software except there is no cardboard box. We offer the software for
downloading only, it means that you do not receive a fancy package, a
printed manual and license that actually aggregate the largest part of the
retail price.
------------

Someone pointed out that it could be their legal out is you can download it
to your hard drive for $79 but legally you're not actually allowed to
install or run it.

My personal take on this is if you're still willing to still purchase Office
2007 from the company after reading the 'fine print' then you're also one
who is likely to purchase a cheap vehicle without an owner's manual and
title printed on that fancy paper - after all it's the ability to license
the vehicle that actually aggregates the largest part of a legitimate retail
price. ;-)

NO, these are not legitimate Microsoft software products. What these
sites are selling are so called "Cracked version" of MS products as well
as other products such as Adobe family of software ect. If you take the
time to read their legal disclaimer, and they dont make it easy to find
on their sites, they state you are paying for the consolidation and
packaging of the software and NOT the software itself. In other words,
instead of having to search the net for illegal and cracked software,
they took the time to do it for you, and will put it on disk and send it
too you for a fee. Another gimmick these sites do is advertise FULL
VERSION of software at a killer low price. What they dont tell you is
that the software is the trial version of the legit product. Again, they
get around the legal loop-hole by stating they are selling the
consolidation and packaging of the software and not the actual product
itself.

Bottom line, and my personal opinion. If you want any given product, go
right to the source, its legal and legitimate Manufacturer. The Benefits
of purchasing legal products outweigh those of installing bootleg or
cracked software. As far as Office 2007 goes, where can you go to hire a
team of 100+ software engineers, and contract their service for for 2 yrs
to produce a product for you for only $899. Sound like a Hell of a deal
to me.
