This may be a simple one but I cannot figure it out. My mailbox listing
all emails in inbox used to have lines or maybe two different colors to
make reading easier. Now they are all just listed w/o any real
separation. Does anyone know how to make it easier to read this list of
inbox emails by having lines between the emails? Thanks and hello from
the sunny south where our island was spared with hurricane winds (this
time).

Try selecting the View menu, "Arrange By" and try a different option
there, for instance, arrange by Subject or Thread, or date, etc. You'll
get headings dividing the groupings.
