linked emails?

I have edited a DL and changed one person's email from
(e-mail address removed) to (e-mail address removed). When I try to send
mail to (e-mail address removed) (even if I don't use the DL, I
just send a new message) I get a NDR saying it couldn't
send mail to (e-mail address removed)!! I typed (e-mail address removed),
sent items says I sent mail to (e-mail address removed). Why is
it trying to send to (e-mail address removed)? Somehow they are
linked or something?
