linked presentations overload computer

I am doing a genealogical presentation with over 10 presentations
corresponding to my family tree.The presentations are linlked by the
different mariages relations.When i wiewed the presentation ,the navigation
throught out the programm opened each presentation and overload the computer
after a while.Is there a way to close the last wiewed presentation after
selecting the following.Or is there another way to link and close the
presentation without going on a black screen
