Linking Ranges

H

Heidi

Hello. I am trying to:
1) Name a range on Worksheet1
2) Link the named range to Worksheet2

I am doing this:
1) In Worksheet2, clicking on the insertion cell (i.e.,
the top left cell of the three rows/columns) and typing =
2) Selecting Window | Worksheet1
3) Typing F3 and then selecting the name of the range

BUT -- in Worksheet2 it only inserts one cell from the
range (the bottom left cell of three rows/columns).

If I check on Worksheet1 to verify the cell locations for
my named range, it is correct.

How do I make it insert correctly (all of the cells) on
the Worksheet2 side?

Thanks for the time to help me.

Can we take it that "worksheet1" and "worksheet2" are two different
workBOOKS?
If I follow your example I get a #VALUE! error in the top cell. I am using
Excel 2003; what version are you using?
If I select the cells in Workbook2, type the =, open Workbook1 etc but
complete the operation with Shift+CTRL+ENTER all is well.
