Linking / relationships between forms

I'm fairly new at this so bear with me. :eek:)
I have a "project form" that summarizes all the details of
dept projects (project #, dwg #, work order #, etc.)
Now we'd like to create a "checklist form" consisting of
dates when certain tasks for the project are completed (I
have created a table for this).
I'd like to be able to automatically enter the project
number into the "checklist form" so various fields from
the "project form" will show up at the top of
the "checklist form" to avoid entering in the same data.
Am I making sense here?????? :eek:)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
