links disappear after rebuilding database - bug or feature?

Hello everybody,

I would like to use Entourage for my project work, but the major
impediment/deception is that the links between e-mail/addresses/notes
are deleted when rebuilding the database, which must be done quite
regularly.

Is this a bug or a feature?

Whichever ist is, as long as this remains this way, the whole project
idea is useless, in my opinion.

Here I am again...

Since there is no comment on my first posting, I assume no one is using this feature within Entourage, which would be surprising indeed.

Are there opposite experiences, i. e. links being still there after a database rebuild?

Depends on what version of Entourage you are using.

FAQ: ³If I rebuild my Entourage database then I lose all my categories and
links!²

Not anymore with Entourage 2008!
