LOADING OLD DATABASE

Help!
I have just refomatted my hard drive and am having problems reloading
my Entourage (vX, 10.1.6) database. I backed everything up and
discovered I had multiple Entourage databases on my (old) hard drive.
Only one of them seems to work but it is way out of date and is missing
emails etc from the past 8 months.
I have tried deleting this database and loading the correct one (it is
the right size and date so I'm certain it's the right one but I have
tried all the databases) but either the message says I have to rebuild
but the rebuild is always unsucessful, or it says "you cannot open this
file with this version of Entourage".
Any suggestions?
Oh, and one more thing, I have just updated to Entourage vX 10.1.6 but
friends are running version 11 of Entourage, which apparently is much
more stable and has a better rebuild engine. I have checked everywhere
on Microsofts website but cannot find version 11 of Entourage. Where
can I download it?
Thanks in advance,
PJF

Directions for moving data are found here:

<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/faq_topic/identities.html#id4>

If you have not used Entourage on the new computer move the entire Microsoft
User Data folder to the Documents folder.

If you have used Entourage on the new computer, move the entire identity
folder you want to use to the Office Identities folder. Your identity is
named "Main" by default. Be sure to rename one so you do not overwrite. Your
identity folder can contain more than one identity.

Switch Identities to view your old mail. If you have not used the new
identity, delete it. If you have used it and want to combine the new mail
with your original database, drag each folder to the desktop from one
identity. This creates an MBOX file. Switch identities. Drag the MBOX files
into the folder window of Entourage.

I have tried deleting this database and loading the correct one (it is

Have you updated Entourage? You cannot open an Entourage X database with
Entourage 2004. You must import the data from Entourage X to Entourage 2004.
Any suggestions?

Version 11 is Entourage 2004. You can download the demo here:
