When I right click on a senders email address in received mail, I am meant to
be able to look up the contact. All I get is the message " could not find a
contact with this email address". But it does exist in one of my my address
books. I am using Outlook 2003. I have a number of address books within the
Outlook address book.
It does work with people who are in another one of the address books

There is no one in any of your address books - all contacts exist only in the contacts folder. Your address book is simply a virtual view of your contacts that have a resolved electronic address.

Start again, tell us the version of Outlook you are using, and use the exact terminology for where you are having this problem, what Contacts folder and how many of them you have enabled as address books.
