Location manager-aware?

If anyone from the Entourage team is scanning this newsgroup: can you please
make Entourage Location Manager-aware? I have to move between network
environments with my PB, and have different locations set up to deal with
things like network proxies, security settings, etc.

It is difficult and error-prone to have to make these changes manually, and
it seems like the perfect example of why the Mac has Locations at all.
Different network environments, different settings for network-related
applications.

Please?

Allen

(Prime example: a client where I frequently work on-site has their network
locked down to prevent any POP main in as well as SMTP mail out. So to
prevent a constantly bouncing Entourage icon in my dock, I have to shut off
my Send & Receive All mail schedule. Then, after a day there and a long
drive back to my home or office, I sometimes don't remember to turn it back
on and miss urgent mail. If I did this often enough, I could make a habit of
remembering, but it occurs just seldom enough that I sometimes forget. A
Location switch should include settings like Schedules, etc. Come to think
of it, even though it's never been a problem that bothered me, it would be
nice if it included things like default account as well. )

Get free "SMTP Location X" script at

It does POP as well, and all sorts of controllable options, and works
automatically when you switch locations.
