Locking Text Box Drawing Object

kris

Is it possible to lock a text box drawing object so that
text may still be entered by the user but the box not
moved or altered in any other way?

Unfortunately for formatting reasons (the document is a
clone of a pdf which is to be scanned and therefor very
strict formatting parameters have to be adheard to) I am
unable to use the Text Box Forms Control object.

I am using Word2000.

Hi Kris,

No. But you might try using a FRAME (form the Forms
toolbar) with a form field, and protect the document as a
form.

There is basically no way to lock down graphical objects in
a Word document without protecting as a form. Or, if you
have Word 2003, using the new protection options it
contains (which gives you a lot more freedom about what is
protected and what is not).
Unfortunately for formatting reasons (the document is a
clone of a pdf which is to be scanned and therefor very
strict formatting parameters have to be adheard to) I am
unable to use the Text Box Forms Control object.

I am using Word2000
