Locks up browsing for attachment on network drive

I have a user whos outlook can browse to any location from within the attachments dialog in outlook except for one location. Every time he tries to browse to that location outlook locks up. This isn't a problem on other machines and I've checked the directory being browsed to, there is nothing other than a few folders, some word documents and excel documents in it.

I tried a detect and repair, this didn't work.

Windows 2000 SP4 Outlook 2000 SP1A
