Login keeps failing

I'm on a MBPro 10.4.8, current update to Office. Two problems:

1) Notification seems to lose it's mind and bounce/die/bounce in an
infinite loop
2) Entourage has suddenly started requiring a re-login to my Exchange
server

I re-entered the pwd in preferences. I also re-logged in with the
popup, and saved the pwd. No go. It's random, like 5-10 x a day.

Try and delete the keychain entry and let Entourage recreate it next time it
asks for your password. This often fixes issues with keychain, which seems
to be none too robust.

No go. Problem persists.

I am also having issues with MSFT Office apps not opening when
Messenger is open, and with the nofications alert going insane and in
loops of opening and crashing when Messenger is open.

It's all recent, on a system that had been stable for almost a year.
