Hi there. I¹m on OS 10.3.9, Panther I believe. I¹ve been all through the
international settings to change the date format from short to long. I can
specifiy how I want the long date to appear but there is no ooption to say
OK, use these settings so it remains as short date format. It appears it¹s
just not possible. True?

thanks.

I feel like there was a previous discussion of this, and that what you want
might be possible in Tiger (10.4), but not in Panther (10.3). Entourage will
*only* pick up the short date setting from the system, but in Tiger you can
set the short date to look long. In Panther you can't. If I remember
correctly.

Since I'm also in Panther, can't totally confirm. See this thread,
especially Paul Berkowitz's post:

Yes, that's correct, Daiya. It's a new thing in Tiger (OS 10.4). You can do
it in Tiger, but not Panther (10.3) or earlier.

Yet one more reason to upgrade OS. ;-)
