LOOKUP/REFERENCE/CHOOSE/???--not sure what I need

In sheet1 K1 type =vlookup(sheet1!B1,sheet2!D1:E12,2,false)
this will lookup your letter entered on sheet 1 in the B
col and compare it against sheet 2 Col D and return sheet 2
Col E.

from Sheet2 Col E returned in Sheet1 Col K. For instance,
if I enter "L" in Sheet1 B3, then "Nov" would appear in
Sheet 1 K3.
