Loose Area code in contacts

I have the area code showing up in my contacts. If I wet the area code why do
I have to have this area code appear. When I transfer contacts to my PDA all
the area codes come with it. This makes viewing the name and adress sometime
a problem, because with a long name the area code obstructs my view unless I
display all info on that contact. Any wah to turn off. Thanks in advance.

Ick. I sure wouldn't want to be there when you wet the area code.

Masking of phone numbers in Outlook is hard coded and not subject to user
control.
