Losing Cursor when entering in Calendar Event

If I create a new calendar event and inter the start date and end dates
first, without entering in the Subject or location, the cursor for
typing is lost. Acutally it is visible, but it won't do anything.
Anyone else have this problem? It seems to be repeatable.
