Forgive me as I probably don't know what I am doing. I updated to
10.3.3 and somehow fiddled with the users/admin and now have lost all
my old mail from entourage. It just starts as if i haven't used it
yet. is their a way to get the info back?
Did you create a new OS X User account for yourself? Does the previous user
still exist? If you go there and launch Entourage, you should find yourself
in your old identity with your old mail. Let us know, and we can tell you
what to do then.
Chances are it wasn't anything like that. In Entourage, go to Entourage
menu/Switch identities..., If you see another identity in the list that
comes up, switch to it. You'll probably find your old mail there. If so, let
us know, and we can tell you what to do then.
If neither of the above, I don't know what happened. you didn't do an entire
reinstall of OS 10.3, did you? If so, and you did an Archive and Install,
and you see a "Previous System" folder on your hard disk, this is
salvageable. If you did and Erase and Install, no luck.
Or if you went and deleted your user's Documents folder at some point
(why?), and emptied the trash, no luck.
I suspect you're just in another Entourage identity or OS X user.
