Lost Control Panel

I just loaded Office 2000 and every time I try to get into
my Control Panel I receeve the error message: The program
has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down."

The details box has:

XPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module KERNEL32.DLL at 017f:bff76843.
