Lost e-mail folder and messages

I have been using Entourage as my default e-mail since I purchased my
Powerbook this month.
Today, after opening Entourage, I was asked again if I wanted to make
Entourage default and a wizard stepped me through the process. As a
result, the address book is now empty and under Folders On My Computer,
the folder that contained my important e-mail is missing and the Sent
Items and Deleted Items folders are now empty.
I tried switch identity without success. I'm now in PANIC mode. How can
I find the missing data (folder and files) on the HDD and restore?
Thank you.

I awakened Sunday morning with the same problem. This is the email I
sent to apple:

I am an avid Mac user with a Powerbook G4 and a Mac mini both of wich
have Tiger. I woke up Sunday morning and ALL of my Entourage data was
gone including accounts. All of my 1,500 iTunes songes were gone. All
of my widgets were gone. My dock wich normally has 18 icons on it and
located on the left side was found on the bottom with 4 icons on it
only one of wich I had actually put on. In the finder folder,
everything below "desktop" was just a folder instead of an icon. I lost
ALL of my internet bookmarks. This really had me steamed because I have
never had any such problem with my Powerbook nor any of the Macs I have
used in the past. What is going on here? The OS was working ok, all of
my data just disappeared. Please help. I reinstalled Tiger and have
everything back up after about 10 hours of what would normally be a
restfull Sunday. I would just like to know if you have had any similar
problems.

I found the problem after much searching.
For some reason, the original DATABASE file that was associated with
Entourage ended up in trash.
I simply copied this file to the appropriate folder and recovered
missing e-mail.
