lost emails

This morning when I started up my computer I found that the emails
from this past month were missing. My computer did not crash and
Entourage was closed when I sut the computer down. I still have my
emails from the pervious months, just August's emails are gone. I have
been able to receive emails today too. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.8
and Entourage 11.3.3. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Well first your system shoudl be in 10.4.10 and Entourage in 11.3.6
(witht he 11.3.7 update).
The updates corrected quite a few issues.
Once everything is up to day, you might want to launch Entourage
pressing down the alt key to trigger the database utility and rebuild
the database for your account. You might have a corruption in there :-\
