hi
i have the most recent version of entourage in a new iMAC. in turning on the program this morning, i found my entourage to be 'blank' - i.e., as if it had just been re-installed. no emails, contacts, etc.
perhaps was due to my moving my Microsoft Users folders last evening, when cleaning up my Documents folder. but, i still have them, and replaced them in Documents folder. tried re-installing MS Office, but no help.
read some online suggestions, and, when i try to "import" data into the re-installed Entourage, when i highlight the Office identities, i can't import either of the two. so, it seems my Entourage data is not lost, i just can't bring it into the program.
thank you....

What version is it?? 10.1.9??

Most definitively. That's where all the data sits and Entourage doesn't
like it if you move the folder.

Reinstalling Office won't do it. You need to put the Microsoft User Data
folder back where it belongs.

You can have multiple versions for Entourage in the Microsoft User Data
folder.

Office X Identities
Office 2004 Identities
Office 2008 Identities

Inside each Identity folder you can have multiple Identities. Entourage
create a new one called "Main" by default.

What you need to move back is the Main Identity and place it in the Office
2008 Identities folder. If you have been using the new one, you will need to
merge. Be sure not to overwrite the Identity when you move the old one back.

Import Basics:

You can import from an older version to a newer version. eg. OE to Entourage
2001, Entourage X, 2004 to Entourage 2008.

You cannot import from a newer version to an older version. e.g. Entourage X
to Entourage 2001, or Entourage 2008 to Entourage 2004 using Entourage.

You cannot import from the same version of Entourage. e.g. Entourage 2004 to
Entourage 2004 or Entourage 2008 to Entourage 2008. You can use the MBOX
method or the Export-Import Scripts to transfer mail from one identity to
another. Or, if you are moving simply copy over the file to the new
location.
