Lost messages after rebuild database

When I rebuilt the Entourage X database, I must have been close to the
hard disk full limit. After much rebuilding, I got Entourage open but
more than half of my messages were gone. I'm thinking that mail must
still be in there because what's left is certainly not 3.6 GB which is
the size of the database file. How can I get them back? I don't want to
pay for Enouraid.

Hi,

I don't know what happened to your messages, but the problem seems to be
caused by your database. Entourage v.X, with the 10.1.2. update applied, gas
a size limit of 4GB, and you will get notified when the database size
reaches that limit. One of the symptoms of a full database can be losing
messages or other items, and there have also been reports of databases that
could no longer be opened or rebuilt. Try performing an advanced search
(Edit>Advanced Find) in Entourage to see if the messages you are missing are
still there, somewhere. If not, use the Finder to see if there are multiple
identity folders in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Office v.X Identities.
