Lost Outlook information

Rich

Recently, I attempted to setup a new slave hard drive and
in the process I wacked the Windows 98. After reloading
the Windows 98 and Outlook from my Microsoft Office 97 CD
I found that I had lost all of my contact files.

Are they still resident in the computer somewhere and if
so how would I recover them. (Note: the same thing
happened to my e-mail "address book".)

If you have formatted the hard disk and re-install the Windows, then the
address book has gone with your other data. I think it cannot be recovered.

The default location for Outlook 97 to place the PST is
C:\Windows\Outlook.pst. Chances are, since you've reloaded Windows 98,
you've destroyed the PST file where your COntacts were stored.

I did a similar thing as you - I don't know how this discussion works but wondered if you got a reply to fix your problem?
