M/S Works Database & Word Processor

I am trying to help a friend who is extracting data from M/Soft Works
Datbase to M/Soft Word Processor. It does extract ok but if he has
£125.00 it will only transfer the 125 and leave out both the zeros and
the £ sign. However, if the figure importing was £125.25 then it does
show the two decimal places but still without the £ sign. The cells in
database are formatted to show the £ & decimal places.
