Mac Address Book to Entourage 2004

R

Robert

I cannot find a way to IMPORT my contacts from Apple's OSX Address
Book into the Address Book of Entourage 2004.

Thanks.

But Apple Mail doesn't have contacts, only email. (Messages, Accounts, Rules
and Signatures are the only options in the Importer for Apple Mail.) It's
Apple's Address Book that has contacts.

You can do it by exporting vCards from Address Book as a .vcf file, and
dragging that into Entourage. But you'll have a lot of missing and incorrect
fields if you make use of many of the fields (including secondary phone
numbers).

Or you could get my "Sync Entourage-Address Book 2 [PANTHER]" script at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

It's shareware for regular syncing, but you get 14 days free as a Demo, so
you can import all contacts as a once-only. (If you're still in Jaguar, the
Jaguar version still has a "Limited" mode.) It brings over every field
accurately.

Just drag and drop from Address Book to Entourage Contacts - works a treat.

You might also find certain phone numbers in the wrong phone fields, etc,
etc.

If you want a really accurate transfer, use my "Sync Entourage-Address Book"
script from
