Mac bmp issues

Got a question about if there is an issue with a Mac
displaying bitmaps? Because I'm doing a web site for a
photographer who wanted to use some font that is not very
common. So I had to put all of the verbage into a .bmp
file. Looks fine in a PC but not in a MAC. Any help or
verification that .bmp's don't work in MAC's and secondly,
what type of program should I use/buy to get this issue
straightened out? I don't want a fancy program, just one
with the basics such as cropping, sizing, saving to a
different graphic type.

BitMaps are not support by all browsers. And, the file size is very large.
Standard images for webs are jpeg or gif. If it's a photograph, convert it
to a jpeg in your image editor before importing into FP.
