Mac Entourage 2004 and Windows Exchange Server

I have juts upgraded to MS Office 2004. All works well -so far- except
for Entourage: It does read all my local folders and mail and it
recognizes the Exchange server BUT it refuses to authenticate me. It
does see my user name but it tells me that the password account is
wrong, to "please try again" (and again, and again...).

These errors appeared the first time I try to use the program as it
went trough it's automatic Exchange account setup (this was not a
problem with Entourage X). When that did not work, I tried to set up
the account manually but I still got the same wrong password or
username error.

Because upgrades in MS applications are rarely smooth as promised, I
did not dump Entourage X from my Mac. That email client version has no
problems accepting the same settings as it always has so, thankfully,
I can still get my mail.

I'd appreciate your thoughts.

I've had that on one of our mirror servers. I reverted to another one
and all went on fine. It turned out the server that didn't work was not
perfectly up to date. Could that be the case for you to ???
