,Mac mail account messages show in deteled items folder

This is a weird one. Instead on the Inbox, my incoming and unread .mac IMAP mail messages show up in Entourage in the Deleted Items on my iMac.
I've set the account up exactly as I have it on my MacBook Pro... which handles mail fine and properly puts folders where they should be.
I deleted the account on the iMac and created a new one and it does the same thing... putting my inbox messages in the delelted items folder.
Help!

Go to Tools>Rules or Tools>Mailing List Manager to see if there is not a
rule that's responsible for this. My guess is that you have created a MLM
rule by accident, which can be done very easily in Entourage 2004 (simply
mark a message which Entourage identified as junk as "not junk" and choose
the wrong option from the dialogue that shows up).

Yup... that was it, Michael. A weird rule. Deleted it and all is working. Thanks...

Now... I need to figure out how on a couple of POP accounts to get them to show new mail. I'll post another thread on that. But really appreciate your expertise and sharing.

Let me guess - you're using Entourage 2004 and have accidentally created a Mailing List Manager entry when marking a piece of junk email as 'Not Junk' - it was too easy to do, and they fixed this by removing the MLM option in 2008.

you aren't the first person to be caught by this, and probably won't be the last!

To fix it, open up 'Mailing List Manager' under the Tools menu and delete any entries that shouldn't be there.

In Microsoft word in a new document the spacing looks like double spaced.

Even when I use the format tool and use single space it still appears as
double space.

It is so frustrating that such a simple task is so complicated in these
modern applications??

This is not actually double spacing, it's a "space after" setting that
Microsoft enabled for the default Normal style. To get rid of it, click on
Format>Style, make sure "Normal" is selected in the list, then click on
Modify. Choose Paragraph from the dropdown button which reads Format, then
set the Spacing After to 0 pt. Click on OK, then check the box that reads
"Add to Template". Go back to your document and quit Word to force it to
save these changes. Any new document you now create should no longer have
this Space After setting.

Michael that worked for the current document. However when I open a new doc
it returns to the same issue.

Even when I click ok ok and apply the next new doc I open defaults back to
the same issue.

This is a great example of how complicated Microsoft makes such a simple
task
Please help me fix this.

Did you check the box that says "Add to Template"?

In Word how do you make the format tool bar go horizontal in everyday view?
Meaning that you can always see it horizontally above the document you are
working in.
