Outlook 2003 and Office for X entourage are incompattible?
When sending an invitation to a calendar event to other entourage/
outlook users the e-mail does not show th calendar attributes (accept/
decline choices) on outlook 2003 and does not get inserted in the
recipients schedule.
The sent invitation soucre shows the right stuff on the Mac.
Looking at the e-mail source of the sent mesage there is this:
--B_3156314248_46770612
Content-Type: text/calendar;charset="US-ASCII";name="meeting.ics"
Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit
BEGIN:VCALENDAR
VERSION:2.0
PRODID:-//Microsoft Corporation//Entourage Mac 10.0 MIMEDIR//EN
METHOD:REQUEST
BEGIN:VTIMEZONE
TZID:Eastern Time (US & Canada)
X-ENTOURAGE-TZID:4
etc.... etc...
I can not see the source code of the e-mail on the Windows computer
because the view menu on outlook 2003 does not have that feature (or
the e-mial was stripped of all invisible items?).
When the outlook 2003 user send an invitation to a Mac user the
calendar features work.
His e-mail source contains this
BEGIN:VCALENDAR
PRODID:-//Microsoft Corporation//Outlook 11.0 MIMEDIR//EN
VERSION:2.0
METHOD:REQUEST
BEGIN:VEVENT
ATTENDEE;ROLE=REQ-PARTICIPANT;RSVP=TRUE:MAILTO:.....
etc..etc...
How can I get invitations accross to Windows users?
