Mac OSX 10.5.3 and Office 2008

I just ran the MacOSXUpdCombo10.5.3.dmg and it seems
to work fine with Engtouage 12.1.0.

The only glitch I noticed is the update fails to show up in my
System/Preference/Software Update/Installed Updates. This
is probably because I downloaded the combo rather than use
the Software Update.

If someone has used he Software Update to install 10.5.3,
please report the actual text used in the Installed Updates
log and I will hack it into mine .log file

No other issues..... all is well

I used Software Update and it is showing. I normally use the combo updater,
but didn't check to see if there was a combo available for 10.5.3.

When I boot back into my regular Leopard volume to install, I'll use the
combo there and see if it shows in the panel.

What does your Installed Updates say? What text so I can add it
to mine.

Installed the combo and it does not show up for me either. Strange.

I imagine that the Software Updater looks at other files. I would leave it
out and see if the AutoUpdate correctly identifies the file. I would assume
that if you didn't get a notice that it knew you were updated.

The Apple Software Update application writes updates to the .log file.
The downloaded combo updaters have never updated the .log file. I
added the 10.5.3 update for my own reference.

Microsoft had problems with the update log in Office 12.0 and finally
just deleted the View Installed Updates.
