Mac Remote Desktop 2: Cannot login if password includes a single q

I have 2 accounts on a Premium Vista host, one of which has a password
including a single quote. I cannot login on the account that includes the
password with a single quote from my Mac running OSX 10.5.8 and MS RDC 2.0.1

I receive the below message:
Try again
The credentials that were used to connect to XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX are incorrect.
Please enter your credentials again.
