MacBook Pro - Entourage doesn't start

When trying to boot Entourage (version 11.2.3) on a MacBook Pro running Mac
OS X 10.4.6 it tries for a few seconds and then stops. Nothing really
happens.

Any ideas?

Propably damaged (or unavailable) preferences.

Trythe following in order:

1. remove the folder 'Microsoft' from ~/Library/Preferences (where '~' is
your Home directory. Now try to start entourage.

2. move the Microsoft User Data folder out of the Documents folder, then
log out & back in again, then try to start entourage. If this works, your
identity was badly damaged. If it didn't help, put the folder back
(replacing the new one, if a new one was created) and log out & back in
again.

3. use the 'Remove Office' tool at /Applications/Microsoft Office
2004/Additional Tools/Remove Office/Remove Office to completely remove
office from your hard drive and re-install it (this will not affect your
data.

I'm running the same - Entourage 11.2.3, MacBook Pro,and Mac OS X
10.4.6 - and I didn't have any problems - so it's not a MacBook Pro
problem. Although, I did remove the test drive before I installed
Office.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Though none of them helped I've now found the cause thanks to the system
log. It was the PPC version of StuffIt standard that was installed. Once
removed it Entourage starts just fine (albeit slow because of Rosetta...).
