Macro causing large file size.

I created some Macros to do some simple functions (sort/filter/text to columns/create a new worksheet) on some fairly small data samples (max 200 rows and 8 columns, on two worksheets). My file size is usually around 20-30kb, but now that I am using the Macros to do some of my tasks, the file sizes are around 2-3MB! Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a way to "compress" the data like access, or some other method of making these files smaller...back down to their normal size?

What version of Excel are you using?

Have you tried doing a "Save As"?
