Macros for Entourage?

K

kevs

I was just wondering why, in Entourage, you can't put macros on your toolbar
like in the other "Office" applications Word, Excel.

You have to go menu, pull down etc.

Any ideas on this?
Thanks

The Entourage toolbar is not customizable like those. Not to mention that it
doesn't have Visual Basic, so there are no macros as such. What is does have
as its automation language is AppleScript, and there are literally hundreds
of scripts for Entourage - like pre-written macros - available free at

MacScripter.net <http://macscripter.net/scriptbuilders/>

You can access the scripts directly in the Scripts folder (the S-squiggle
menu next to Help) when you put the scripts in the right location (in X,
that's HD/Users/[username]/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Entourage Script
Menu Items.

You can also assign a keyboard shortcut to any script. To find out how,
check "AppleScript" in the Help.

But not a toolbar button.
